Bio

My training began informally during my undergraduate years at UC Berkeley where I double-majored in Sociology and Interdisciplinary Studies with a special emphasis on psychoanalysis. Upon graduating, I moved to New Orleans and taught high school with the Teach For America corps. It was through this experience that I was able to deepen my capacity to hold psychological strife among individuals with complex cognitive, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

Drawn to the Bay Area, I returned to Berkeley and earned my Doctorate in Psychology from the Wright Institute. I have delivered brief- and long-term psychotherapy services in a number of Bay Area settings including Access Institute for Psychological Services, BART's Peer Support Program, SFMTA's Peer Assistance Program, the UCSF Infant-Parent Program, KIPP SF Bay Area Academy, Mills College Counseling Center, the Wright Institute Clinic, and the Cleo Eulao Center.

I specialize in anxiety and depression, dating and intimacy issues, self-destructive patterns of behavior, Peer Support, and work. I am a member of the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California, the International Association of Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, and the Northern California Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. I consult and attend courses regularly to continue my education.
